Trepidation

Stuck between two steps:

the one before and the grey

one following it...

I seem to be stuck at the moment: hence the reason for the tedious delay between the last post and this one.

My first collection of poetry is about to be published. Good news, to say the least!

But I am now faced with a problem that often confronts the new and uninitiated: what now?

Now that I have got what I always seemed to what, where do I go? What do I write? Do i reinvent? Do I continue in the same vein?

There are ideas: ideas aplenty, to be true. But the muse to sustain them seems to be missing.

While I search for it, do keep visiting and I'll keep you updated about my book, "Interruptions".

Cheers!

Congratulations on getting published. Painful process but worth it.

feels better? :D
i am not a poet. i just write. the form doesn't really matter much to me.

yes, i am the same woman. she's a friend. in college.

are you based in doon? i have a strong connection with that place.

convenience-->less effort-->simpler life-->'feel good' factor
:D
it's all the same, innit? :)

i was born in Doon. have lived there for 5 years. and keep going back every now and then.

symbiosis, it is :)

ah, well. let's keep that aside for later. i don't particularly like that term either :)

yeah. i went to bright lands, which was more of a boot camp and less of a school.

and here comes the sad part. social networking sites are banned on campus. they're listed under 'personal relationships' and are, allegedly, distracting students. hence.

if you are on gtalk/gmail, add me there.

Yes... about time I looked up a few bloggerbuddies... A new book -sounds fantastic. maybe you could do a few poetry gigs at poetry venues to promote it. Read the odd poem between songs.

There's a whole YouTube world waiting for you. Type in Happy2Oblige and see me read poems or type in DavidRandallCurtis to YouTube. He does some interesting stuff.

Midnight Musings

I sit and flip some Pages in vain— Outside, some rabid Dogs bark in the rain. Alone I sit and make sense of printed, bland nonsense. The room is numb— I hear nothing Except fear’s thumps: The clock’s ticking. An errant breeze Whips the glass panes Raw as I grease My pens and pains… My bones creak: An evanescent fear Awakes and speaks… Light is near— The last line is clear! Wish you all a very happy and prosperous 2006! H A P P Y N E W Y E A R !!
